i think the substance abuse policy is clearly written in the CBA. the brady suspension was much more nebulous under a best interests of the game clause, or something like that

I don't give a flying f**k about the legalize, right, wrong, logic or reason ... if there was any justice in this world Tom Brady would be serving his suspension, and every f**king one of us knows it ... what we saw today is a perversion of justice, where the guilty go free on technicalities ... in that case I want Richardson to LAWYER UP AND FIGHT ... period.

LOL Greg Hardy said he's now considering an appeal.

Don't think about it, son, DO IT .... IMMEDIATELY!!

The Courts/Judges in this country are OUT OF CONTROL, usurping all kinds of authority for themselves, sticking their noses into all kinds of things they have no business sticking their noses into, no rhyme or reason, winging it, flying by the balls of their asses, so you might as well LAWYER UP, go judge shopping for a bleeding heart liberal, and fight to the death.

That goes doubly for you, Sheldon!

Hobson is right. All that Sheldon and Hardy will be doing is creating headaches for themselves. Just serve your suspension and deal with it.

HELL NO!!!!

If I'm Sheldon Richardson and I just watched this travesty of justice, KNOWING Brady is guilty as sin and he walked on some technicalities, because he had clever lawyers and the right judge, I'm on the phone with the NFLPA RIGHT NOW and demanding the same representation Brady received, otherwise I'm suing the NFLPA.

No player in his right mind just accepts his punishment without a fight, not after this. If I'm Sheldon Richardson, no way I'm just accepting my punishment after this ... NOT. A. CHANCE.

The substance abuse policy is clearly written. Nothing he can do about that.

The additional suspension as a result of his arrest, is a different matter. That hasn't happened yet so right now it's a moot point.

Going to be interesting to see how the NFL handles suspensions for personal behavior moving forward with this decision creating precedent destroying the power of the commissioners office.

This decision is going to be much more far reaching then just the Brady case.

Some of you are not seeing the big picture here, you are still hung-up on guilt or innocence and the letter of the law, as if that even matters anymore, and it doesn't, it clearly doesn't.

Guilt or innocence was irrelevant today, the NFLPA argued "PROCESS" and succeeded in overturning the suspension of a guilty man, in fact they didn't even bother to argue guilt or innocence at all, nor did the judge make that an issue in this case, Brady simply LAWYERED UP AND GOT THE RIGHT JUDGE, and he walked despite being guilty as sin.

In fact this judge went so far as to ignore long-standing legal precedent (Garvey vs MLBPA) to cut Brady loose.

If Sheldon doesn't look at this and demand the same fight on his behalf, he's an absolute imbecile.

LAWYER UP, GO JUDGE SHOPPING, FIND A BLEEDING HEART DOOSHBAG, AND GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT.

Incidentally it would be helpful if Jets fans behave like Patsie Homerville fans too.

You are missing the point, GJ&H. The CBA explicitly mandates the 4 game suspension that Sheldon received. It does no such thing regarding the deflategate issues and the judge vacated the suspension because he said that the process was flawed and Goodell basically made things up procedurally as he went along. It would be stupid, futile, and self-defeating for Sheldon to do what you are suggesting.

I don't give a f**k, challenge the process, example, did the league take into account that Sheldon's dog ate the neighbors marijuana plant then pissed in his cornflakes? There's that and a number of other factors the league failed to take into account ... now lets go Judge shopping for another bleeding heart a**hole and see if we can get this thing overturned.

LAWYER UP ... GO JUDGE SHOPPING ... LOOK FOR AN ACTIVIST JUDGE ... AND GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT.

THE PROCESS ... ARGUE PROCESS ... NOT GUILT OR INNOCENCE.

And what's more - as much as I hate the Pats and Brady, the judge was right. Goodell went about things in an arrogant way. I think he made the right decision but in an indefensible process.

C'mon, enough with the emotional nonsense, use your head a bit. Richardson has already acknowledged his guilt in the matter and described it as an isolated mistake that he has to learn from. There is no turning back and appealing from there. Furthermore, it is in Sheldon Richardson, the human being's best interests to suffer the consequences of his "mistake" and serve his time, so that he hopefully WILL learn from it and not ruin his career and his life.

Exactly my point ...

I don't give a f**k if Sheldon is guilty or innocent, I don't like the process and Sheldon ought not like it either.

The process assumes guilt without taking all possible evidence into account, and IMO that is a flawed process.

Sheldon needs to get a scientist who explains how balls can magically deflate themselves ... oh way, I mean how weed can magically appear in his system, when clearly there is no eyewitness or hard evidence that he actually inhaled weed.

LAWYER UP ... GO JUDGE SHOPPING ... AND ARGUE PROCESS.

You just admitted Brady is guilty, so why wasn't it in his best interest to take his punishment and learn from it?

You essentially said that you know Brady is guilty, but it was right for the court to cut him loose on technicalities.

Well I'm applying the same standard here, if Brady gets cut loose, I want Sheldon to lawyer up and fight.

Savage brings up a very good point here ...

I'm tired of two sets of rules in this country, one for the white man (Brady), and one for the black man (Sheldon).

This thing reeks of "white privilege" and I refuse to stand for it.
