Thanks brother, and I really did LOL at that Bull Connor reference, that is sheer brilliance!

After watching Tom Brady skate, there's NO WAY IN HELL Jets fans should accept Richardson's suspension lying down.

BEFORE TODAY, fine, but there's NO WAY we should be watching Brady play football on opening day while Richardson sits.

That is an absolute travesty of justice and I for one am NOT accepting it, and I'm glad you make it two of us. Its a shame more Jets fans don't see the injustice of this, but they'll see it on opening day when Tom Brady, who cheated in the AFC Title Game, is playing and grinning from ear to ear, and Richardson is gone for a month or more, for smoking weed.

The Patriots and Patriots fans taught us there is no such thing as a ridiculous argument, any argument you can make is a good one, because the real point is to just make noise and keep making noise until you get your way.

The more outrageous the accusations, the better.

Some of us are taking a page out of the Patriots playbook and hoping Sheldon will do likewise, while others are approaching this with logic and reason. Normally I'm in that second group too, but not when I see the degree to which illogical, irrational and manufactured outrage succeeds if you just keep making enough noise. I'm a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them, you don't have to drop a house on me for me to understand what works.

Did you hear some of the arguments the Patriots and their fans were making, like "the deflator" referring to a diet, or their explanation for their balls being deflated but not the Colts balls, and a million more farcical arguments?

It makes the racism argument seem totally reasonable, but the Pats taught us that the substance of the argument is irrelevant, all that matters is that you are arguing and throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.

Its all about the manufactured outrage, thats the important thing, not truth or untruth or guilt or innocence.

Exactly, this whole thread is part satire and part farce. Its basically mocking and paying homage to the degree the Patriots and Patriots fans went to get Tom Brady off the hook. Mocking the absurdity of their arguments, but acknowledging that IT WORKED, and it damn sure did work, so much so that I'm on board with the same scorched earth mentality for Sheldon.
