Avery Williamson Says Jets Aren’t Practicing Well

Williamson is the second veteran defensive player on the Jets to question the coaches and how the team is practicing.

Yesterday S Bradley McDougald said the team has been struggling in practice. Now Williamson spoke with WFAN in NY and basically confirmed it.

More bad looks for Adam Gase, who has no business as a head coach in the NFL.

PS : My sister who's a teacher in Montville NJ said Avery was speaking to some teachers and he's really a great guy .
Also Saquon Barkley lives in the same town and some people said he's a great guy also.
Plexico lives around the corner from me , maybe I should ask him if he's still in shape although I doubt he would want to come back to this shitshow.

As I mentioned on another thread................we need a coach that can really coach and call plays or be smart enough to know that if he can't call plays he needs to hire someone that can. The players JD has added very likely could get the job done if they had a real coach. I haven't given up on Joe's player choices yet but Adam Gase is in so far over his head that there is little hope of fielding a competitive team while he holds the reins to this team. If he doesn't trust his QB by now to make game play decisions he doesn't understand how football is meant to be played which also means, ( to the point ), he is not qualified to be a head coach ANYWHERE.

He played 28 snaps vs the 49ers, olgletree played 34 snaps. Every big run the 49ers had came with olgletree on the field in place of Williamson. He can criticize as can McDougle. More players need to step up and criticize poor efforts, poor practice habits. Like I used to tell players when I was coaching, Practice doesn't make perfect, Perfect practice makes perfect.
The Jets unenthusiastic, slow starts in Practice, are carrying over to the field on game day.

He’d get picked up pretty quickly, I believe.

My mistake, I didn't notice him. Not many players on that defense did well enough to get a namecheck.

I could have done this like 95%'of the seasons of Jet fandom since 1970
But as a true fan you stick with your team( and complain about them ( Seems like that's all we do )
What fun is it just cheering on a team that wins every year ?IE; New England (oh gosh another win)
I think it's become ingrained in the true pessimistic , wallowing in misary ,Jet fan who's highlight of the year is...

I think also, not 100% sure, that the 49er opening play TD run was the result of Olgetree being out of position. I'd have to go back and watch that play again to be 100% sure but watching that is too painful to repeat so I'll have to settle for being pretty sure that Olgetree is to blame for that fiasco.
