No surprise there . Should always expect him to go down with an injury.
Sad, but this guy is made of glass. Time to move on. Hopefully they have prepared for this. Luckily we didn't waste a huge long term contract on him.

Question now is does Tippmann slide over with Josh Meyers at center, or does Xavier. Newman fill Tuckers role? Could see it going either way, especially considering Glenn has still not named the starting center.
Or the single wing. (Ask your grandpa')

Big blow considering the central plank of the offense was running behind the right side of the line. Sure 'somebody' can play right guard but he won't have any rapport with Membou. Suddenly cautious optimism for the season has been dispelled.
Wonder if they knew something was up as I read, Tippmann has been playing not at center a fair amount

Tippmann has been struggling with snapping all pre season. Might be best to move him to guard.
Yes. All flow and continuity that those guys developed over TC is now shot to hell.

I think Tippmann might be better at guard than he is at center. Still can't snap the ball.
Sure we can find 'someone' to play guard, but we can forget about the roadgrading we saw from the right side of the line against the Packers. With the run game restricted it comes down to Fields throwing to the maligned receiver group.
If an interior lineman gets dinged and has to miss some plays or series, Newman has to come in and Tippmann has to possibly shuffle back to center. If a second guy goes down I believe Max Mitchell has played some at guard or it is Levao elevated from the PS. And playing both centers on every snap elevates the risk of being left with an emergency center.
Apparently this late in the day we have few options for a replacement apart from asking guys to 'unretire' and we know how that usually goes. Also Samuel Jackson may have to pause his acting career and rejoin the Jets PS.
