Baker Mayfield Traded to Carolina

Unbelievable that Baker and Sam are on the same team now. Both were/are flops, we’ll at least Baker played at least decent for the Browns. For a season or two anyway. However, for a #1 overall draft pick, playing decent just isn’t good enough.

At least we’re got more for Darnold than the Browns got for Baker and even better we don’t have this type of problem. Let’s go Zach and let’s go Jets. J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!

Side note: I definitely don’t think that Baker or Darnold are the guys for the Panthers but then again, I DON’T CARE!!!!

if i am Sam, i am begging Carolina to give me an unconditional release so i could go to Tampa, Green Bay, or Indy as a back up.
get out of the bright lights, and just concentrate on learning the game from scratch from Rodgers, Brady, or Ryan.

i still believe Sam's story isn't finished yet. he is still super young, and has a lot of game experience.

it took allen 3 years in the league to become what he is & he was also set up early for success from top to bottom..

not sure if even he could have avoided being ruined here under the management/coaching durning that same time period..

I would argue Wilson is set up almost as well. Difference is the youth around him.

I don’t think so . Wilson is the clear starter here until proven otherwise and if he doesn’t maintain that status then it’s his own fault.
Personally from a former skeptic of Wilson, I have no fear he will prove to be what he was drafted to be . He’s going to drive us crazy but he’s going to win way more than he loses .

The fact of whether or not Sam can be anything more than a decent back up I’m not sure about. I’ll believe it when I see it but I do agree he should be asking to get out of Carolina no doubt.

Unless he of course has that much confidence in himself that he can beat out Baker and keep the job, PERIOD!!!

I don’t think he can do that either but maybe he can.
