Barr Staying Put with Vikings

I went back and watched some video of Barr vs Rams and he got exposed in coverage. He gave up 3 TD's. Granted he shouldn't be covering WR's, but we have already had our fair share of LB's that can't cover. Losing out on him is not a big deal especially being overpaid for the 13.5 career sacks in 5 years. Jordan Jenkins has 12.5 sacks in 3 years. I know some posters here don't think stats matter, but I'm sorry they do and especially as a pass rusher. Barr is nice in the run game and brings a toughness, but Jenkins can also do the same in an albeit unspectacular fashion. He costs pennies compared to Barr and had 7 sacks last year which Barr has had 4.5 as his most in his career. If he can put those stats up again with Bosa or Allen on the other side then I would rather have Jenkins at a fraction of the cost.

In retrospect, this is probably accurate. Draft an elite outside guy like Allen and pair him with jenkins and you have a pretty cost effective set of bookends. Maybe the Vikes did us a favor for the 2nd year in a row.

I think we just like to make our selves feel better .
And the only way we can draft elite is if we sucked the year before and the guy drops into our laps
Josh Allen please

You couldn't pay me to live in NYC. My brother lives there and has for 35 years. I've visited him numerous times and wasted lots of money going to see the Jets play. I always hated the city. Its gross and the people seem miserable.

i'm from long island and have lived in the city since graduating college in 1992. i love it here

reading this board, it seems you are the miserable person

As much as I dislike your negativity with just about everything you post on this site, I have to admit there is some truth to this post. SOME TRUTH but not all! I’m born and raised in NYC, Brooklyn in fact and lived there 26 years of my life. I left in 1996 in fact and since, I visited quite a bit and I wouldn’t want to go back to live either. However; NYC is MUCH better then what I remember. My home town has made HUGE strides in the right direction but it’s even more expensive then it was when it was there so no thank you!

I was born and raised in Manhattan, back when we called it the lower east-side, now they call it the east village, but I grew up there and I wouldn't move back to Manhattan if you gave me a million dollars. I still go back occasionally because I still have friends and family down there, but I thank God I don't live there anymore. That said, it's not nearly as bad as it was when I grew up there. Back then it was the kind of place even bad guys avoided like the plague after dark. A lot of the movie, Taxi Driver, was filmed down there back then, like the shooting scene at the end.

I was born and raised in NYC (Manhattan), but left to a more suburban part of NY when I was a kid.

By more suburban you mean Brooklyn right ?:global (5):

I think I'd rather move back to Manhattan than live in Brooklyn.

Don't get me wrong, I used to love Brooklyn back in the day, used to go clubbing there all the time, but now it's infested with hipsters.

It's like a different planet than it was a generation ago, and IMO the changes have not been for the better.

Just jerking your chain Ham. I have lots of friends and relatives in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Beach and north of the city in Haverstraw. I like the city so much that I don't ever go see them and they like it so much that they frequently visit me upstate.

No doubt, those were some fun times.

Sooner or later we all reach that age where memories are all that we have, and football of course, but even at my age I haven't gotten there yet.

He got a tummy ache after agreeing to go to NY?

Uh... maybe he made the right choice not coming here.
