It’s amazing that these experts are sticking to this notion of overhauling the secondary despite the way these players have progressed. Oh well we will all get to see how it shakes out in 2 months.

it all depends on how the coaching staff not the media sees the secondary.
jets coaching staff loves both starters Bryce Hall and Brandin Echols they also love the versatility that both MC II & Guidry bring at the nickel position just because they are not Top 5 picks does not mean they are not worthy as most media scumbags keep saying.

now safety is another story, Ashtyn Davis has the athleticism and plays fast but his overall game is limited. Jason Pinnock showed potential at the end of the season but this position is limited on potential and free agent signing or draft even both could be in plans but at the corner position the team is set for a few years.

Jets best case... add at least 1 more toppish draft pick at OL, get impact Safety in 3rd, add a stud or 2 at DE, add a reliable TE, add a WR who keeps CB's up at night.

Jests worst case... overhaul a secondary with Pinnock, Bryce, Echols, and Carter II.

I 100% disagree because I believe the worst case would be for Mekhi Becton not becoming the Franchise LT we drafted him to become. Year #3 is BIG TIME for this kid (and his Jets).
you can disagree but Mekhi Becton does not come back we have George Fant! if he comes back then he is icing on the cake.

How is it a priority to overhaul the secondary? How about getting a pass rush and then the secondary will look much better.
I know the Jets need weapons for Wilson and to beef up the OL. . The trouble is I think we can get the weapons in free agency . We need a starting TE. And a receiver which we can get in free agency if need be . The OLman we should be able to get in the draft early and later in the 3rd . What we really need big time is someone to put pressure on the QB . I want the kid from FSU or Devin Lloyd .
