For me I would say the 2000 Ravens were just a once in a generation type of team.
I saw the 85 bears whoop the pats also in the SB.

85 Bears
They put the fear of God into QB's, it was like Mike Tyson vs Michael Spinks, opposing QB's were petrified.
They sent at least a half dozen QB's to the hospital that year too, so they were right to be scared.

I would second that...ravens 2000 good..but the Bears were downright scary....and they were hungry you are right..I think they knocked out QB's 6 games in row.they held opponents to 10 or fewer points in 10 games only 3 times all year a team got 20 or more.....Jets played them that year..very late in season..I went w a buddy ; it was a very cold day..Jets played OK, but couldnt get the offense going (of course) lost 19-6
HERE IS VIDEO of that entire game (its good for some of younger fans to see Al Toon, Wesley, K o"B, Freeman JOhnny Hector)
also Walter Payton
John Madden/summerall doing it

The team the Jets beat in Supe III was Number 1 in D and number 2 in O Come to think of it I think the 85 Bears were the also..
Don't forget the Steel Curtain !
Go Jets...Cyborg
Steel Curtain?
With you, cy, I expected a reference to the Pottsville Maroons!
Offensively I would have to say the Kurt Warner led rams team was the best I ever saw.
In 2007 the Pats scored 589 points the Rams best was 526..
Those guys were so dominant that winning the Super Bowl was a foregone conclusion.85 Bears
