The Jets reportedly value re-signing Harrison as highly as keeping RE Muhammad Wilkerson, who is also scheduled for free agency. Harrison "believes he's the best 3-4 nose tackle in the league" and wants to be paid like it. Vince Wilfork and Terrance Knighton made $4.45 million annually in 2015 as the league's highest-paid pure 3-4 nose tackles. "Big Snacks" should best that.

I made a suggestion prior to this report stating it will likely take a salary annual between $7 - $9 Million to keep D Harrison in Green & White... That would be a bargain and affordable to do so, any more would have to let him walk...

Jmo Damon Harrison is looking at least a 6 million- 7 million dollar per year deal. T Knighton teams were scaried off by his conditioning last year ( lack of) , that he had to take a one year deal. He should do better this year in Fa- after Harrison is signed.
The Raiders signed Nt/ Dt Dan Williams for six million per year.( that is going to be starting point) for Harrison.

Don't think Damon Harrison goes above 7 million per year, for how good he is against the run, he doesn't offer anything as a pass rusher .( basically a two down player).

If he does sign elsewherf, what type of compensation would we get if he receives a $28mil/4 yr. deal?
Would that warrant a 4th rd. pick?

Compensation picks a large part is determined by how much the player signs for, but there are other factors. Providing you lose more players than you sign. If you sign a similar player that the other team signed Harrison for, that will cancel out his lost.( won't get nada) .

So basically you can't say what the Jets will get back right now without knowing the free agents they signed.
