And I would have nominated retaining Hackett.
You can add dumping Quinton Jefferson for Kinlaw to that as well. We paid more Kinlaw and for what we needs, he seems to be a worse fit.

It would appear they constructed the DL with the thought they would be playing ahead virtually all the time. Reddick seemingly would have made little difference last night. Also, on first viewing Williams was a long way from Arron Donald and/or Chris Jones
It's not that I think Hackett is good at what he does. I just think he's irrelevant. Rodgers isn't the GM, but he is the OC.
This is very true, but they need to go watch the game film from last night. Rodgers was throwing into tight windows the entire night. If they can't scheme guys open, the offense is always going to struggle. I know Rodgers doesn't like a bunch of pre-snap motion, so he can get a better view of the defense, but he has to see that implementing that more will only help free up the receivers.
He also threw 90% of his passes to the left. Shit, that's easy to defend.
Rodgers can audible but presumably Hackett decides who is on the field for any play.

Rodgers looked relaxed in the pocket dropping back, taking the snap with the clock running down, every other aspect of the offense looked sloppy. The D was the same way. I basically considered this the 4th pre season game since they added the extra week anyway.

As I said previously I believe that's the weak point of our defense and you're right, they have to figure out how to fix that and fast, especially after watching how successful the Niners were at doing it against us.
Can you imagine if for some reason our season went down hill and JD and Saleh got fired. Now Woody just went out and hired Hackett as our Head Coach.
