I’ve attended several Jets tailgates. Luckily haven’t been a part of that. Funny stuff from SNL.

The best was, we’re leaving in the parking lot goin home
A late game and half the fans are blasted . Bottles all over the parking lot ( that look filled
) Of course piss and beer look the same and both have a head . Unless your tanked and don’t know what your doing .
A kid in his 20s is so rocked picks up one of the bottles and starts chugging it down
3 seconds into his chug he spits it out and starts puking
I guess drinking warm piss will do that to you

I hear Philly is bad but we have to rank at the top

The old Veterans Stadium had a jail, court room and a judge that handed out immediate sentences for unruly Eagles fans. They are the bottom of the barrel in my mind.

Philly is the worst. Trust me.
But yes, we are something that everyone should experience. Probably my favorite memory with fellow Jets fans was a freezing cold night, right after the new year. Rex's first year. Last game of the season, against the Bengals. Jets win, and they're in. Last game at the old stadium, and the upper deck felt colder than Pluto. Everyone was absolutely tanked. Jets destroy the Bengals, people are celebrating...fans were tearing the stadium apart, sneaking past security, who just didn't care, hiding seats under their jackets. Some drunk guys were pulling the backs of the seats off and sliding down the stairs like they were on a ride at Action Park. It was absolute, pure frozen chaos.

My first game as a kid was going to be at Shea in the late 70s. I was maybe 5. I think it was a Pats game. The game is famous from the flying lawnmower incident, where a flying lawnmower at halftime went into the crowd and killed someone.
I missed it because I had my tonsils taken out.

A guy stands on his seat waving for help . Every security runs over till the ambulance actually comes on the field and takes the poor guy away .

Yep. If I recall, two New England fans got hit. May loathe the Pats, but that is just awful.

I thought that the last Giants Stadium game was offically the coldest, temp wise. We actually bought boots that we never used again that weighed about 10 lbs each but keep us very toasty. People forget that it was also at night. Might have been one of the greatest (amd most meaningful ending season?) home games in their history. The only problem was the long walk over the parking lot bridge all the way back to Byrne Arena with all those layers and heavy boots. Exhausting.
The 1969 playoff game vs KC also comes to mind as freezing/windy but the coldest "feeling"games were early on in one's attendance career when you underdressed. Those were some hard lessons learned fast, along with bringing a piece of cardboard to sit on the metal end zone benches.
As far as Jets fans misbehaving, how about that first Monday night game at Shea vs Minnesota and the chaos ensuing afterwards, even into the parking lot. '79?
Then there was the mess of the last game at Shea vs Pitt. While idiots were tearing up the field and seats, we watched one guy at least do something that can be useful. If you remember, when the stands were in football configuration they moved so the end of the field level seats were directly below the auxiliary scoreboards. There was some enterprising fellow standing on the top rail. He had a hefty bag and was patiently unscrewing the lightbulbs and putting them in the bag.
I miss Shea. Still have the my baseball seats in my basement. Been down there in the box they came in since late '08 and I have no idea what to do with them.
