Ideally, if you know a team is looking hard at the guy you want, you jump one spot ahead of them. In this instance, though, that would be the Skins at #5 , and such a trade would be highly unlikely.

Why would Philly want to trade with teams they know aren't going to draft Mariota.... The only reason to trade with anyof those teams is because they know for sure the Jets want Mariota and aren't going to trade with them.... If Tenn doesn't take him at 2.... He falls to the Jets at 6 and that's the team to trade with...Why... cause they have a QB to offer (FOLES)... Jets need a QB.... Jax, Raiders and Skins do not..... The price is cheaper trading with the Jets cause essentially they are only gonna give up 3 picks and a player that they are replacing.... With Jax, Raiders and Skins they would need to give up around 5 picks and then try and trade Foles to someone else to recover 1 maybe 2 picks if they are mid and late rd picks.... Logically, if the Eagles want Mariota, the Jets are the spot.. One stop shopping.

I agree. The further he drops, the better in Philly's mind. They don't want to give up more than they have to, and after Tennessee, there's a gap of teams that don't need a QB. (Washington is committed to RG3 for at least one more year, per reports. They're not giving up on him just yet).

The only other realistic scenario I see is Cleveland sneaking in there. They haven't been shy about moving up for a QB, and who do they have? McCown and Manziel? They've got #12 and #19 . Something to watch.

I agree with this. I think Browns have three key ingredients for this to become reality:
1- Need (Manziel and McCown - nuff said);
2 - Resources, 2 #1 's and maybe a young CB in Gilbert; and
3 - Owner who if he wants Mariota bad enough will pull the strings to make this happen regardless of cost.
