The pick for the Jets was a slight reach, but I'm okay with it because it fills a huge need and Spriggs definitely has a franchise LT ceiling. In the end he might be drafted this high, so I might be off base to call it a slight reach. He only gave up like one sack in two years, he's been ridiculously good, and he's had a terrific off season too, senior bowl and combines.

preseason he was listed as the 11th tackle, then during the season he was ridiculously good against good talent boasting his stock to top 8 of all tackles, by seasons end he was considered to be the 5th best tackle that is versatile both tackle positions making him a legit mid to late 1st rounder with Conklin also moving up into the top 15 this is a legit pick for us! wait until April 1st his Pro Day to see if the Jets show up and who goes to see him work out.

Oh I agree, even if it is a slight reach, AND I DON'T KNOW THAT IT IS, this kid has a real chance to be a franchise LT for the next ten years. He was great during the season, then he blew up the Senior Bowl and was voted the best OL in Mobile, then he blew up the Combines too. I personally don't understand why more sites don't have him rated higher, but I'm perfectly fine with the pick here. It took some guts, but it was a good pick in my view.
