BOSA or Q. WILLIAMS

If the draft goes #1 Murray to the Cardinals and #2 Allen goes to the 49ers. Do we take Bosa or Williams. Is there a 3rd prospect who can jump in or do we just hope for a trade down. Does not look like the Giants are interested in a QB, but that could be a smoke screen

It depends on what Gregg Williams thinks of Bosa fitting his defense. If he thinks Bosa fits, you take Bosa. If not, trade back or take Q.

I've said it before we may need a replacement for our current Williams. I think you have take QW over Bosa if we stay in 3-4. I would take Sweat over Bosa if we could trade down.

i've also said before, our current williams is not the guy.. he was not a great get for maccagnan when had yet another safe pick "fall" into his lap, reguardless of what the hype was coming out of USC..

gregg williams likes ****ing animals.. if quinton williams is his guy?? outstanding!! make the pick..

the josh allen kid intrigues me because we haven't successfully drafted that kind of freak of nature on D since john abraham..

no more, no less..

Q. Williams not believing the Boss hype... but I'd trade that pick for his brother LOL

Not sure where all this anti-Bosa stuff is coming from. I’ve seen him referred to as the best player in this draft by about ten sources. All they all wrong?

Brick, IMO I don't see him as a top player. Just gut feeling. I can't give you proof about his talent. I'm just not sure about him,

IMO both guys are better fits in the 4-3, but if we are determined to remain in a base 3-4 we have to take Bosa.

Bosa has a chance to be a really good RUSH OLB in the 3-4, even if he is a better fit at 4-3 DE, but Q is a waste unless we are switching to a base 4-3

That said if we do switch to a 4-3 with Q or Bosa, it's a tough call because both guys can be monsters at 4-3 DT and 4-3 DE respectively, but I have a slightly higher grade on Q, he's been #1 on my big board for months, so if we switch to a base 4-3 I would have to take Q.

I wouldn’t hate picking Q. He might be the safest pick of this entire draft. His ceiling is sky high and his floor isn’t too low either. He’s going to be an impact player and I’m sure Gregg W. would find a place for him.

That said, I’ll be happier with either Allen or Bosa.

I have heard both McGinest and Damien Woody say that they were not buying into the hype of Bosa at all - He's not an elite athlete or scheme versatile. He has elite hands and gives good effort. But in the NFL that will only take you so far against pro tackles.

I watched tape of him, and he's certainly a good football player, but to me - he looks bulked up, lacks quickness and agility. He's not a 3-4 OLB for sure. He's probably a solid 4-3 End. He looks more like a late first early second round pick.

If Q were the pick over Bosa, whether it is the right pick or not, can you imagine the lunacy on this board as well as the media for Mac yet again showing how inept as a GM he is for not addressing the edge yet again?
Then again I don’t think there is a pick that could be made that won’t call for Mac’s head on a platter

ironically, just as many here were defending all/most things coach bowles, until it was no longer fashionable about midseason last year..

When it comes down to having missed Allen and having to make a choice between Bosa and Williams I'd have a hard time deciding. Both could be most impactful in a 4-3 base and still have a chance of being just as impactful, if used correctly, in our 3-4 base. My concern with Bosa is his injury history. He missed quite a bit of playing time twice, once for a core muscle injury and once for knee surgery because of a partially torn ACL. He may now be completly healed and at 100% but I'd want to know before drafting him.
