Every team knows from Front Office to the water boy the goal is every year to get to the playoffs with a chance to play in the Super Bowl. Like TB said not every game loss is going to define your season, more so how you lost will define the team and what type of character they are displaying.
Fans want to beat divisional rivals more than any other game but even if we lost every divisional game and won the rest we end up with a 10 - 6 winning record more than likely good enough to make the post season.
Each team strives to win, TB is being the ultimate Team Manager allowing his coaching staff to figure it out and do their job. We aren't used to that being last coached by a pessimistic leader who claimed to be that player's coach. Allowed the media, and fans to dictate what he was going to do on the field at the same allowed the General Manager to completely over rule him on decisions about HIS TEAM.
General Managers have all the power but some don't have the knowledge and that is what we dealt with for almost two decades.
Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles will get it right, this is only the first year and coming off a 4-12 season they already have beaten expectations of this team from a year ago with a 5-4 record, so sit back and enjoy the ride albeit a bumpy one but so far a winning one.
