perhaps.. or perhaps team fitzpatrick was waiting for the market to be set??Macs fault for dragging his feet.

after the eagles screwed the pooch the jets are almost forced to let fitzpatrick test the open market..Giving Fitz ANYTHING north of 8 million per is complete crap. Fitz has one good season and now all of a sudden he needs to be paid like Aaron Rodgers? BS. I would offer him 2 years 14 million, if he doesn't take it, I would let him test FA.

LOLz this is so typically bad luck for the jets with the QB position..Very true. I just can't believe Bradford fetched that many. He was awful last year. They were thinking of benching him for Sanchez.....
If the Jets don't pay Fitz the money he wants, he will walk. Many teams will take a shot at him. Broncos would be a good option for him in my opinion. Better than Osweiler
What are you basing pettys readiness on?Fitzpatrick and Bradford are on two different scales, the main reason the age factor...
But if Ftiz thinks Bradford getting paid is his leverage, then good bye...
I would start Bryce, because he is more ready then people know and Gailey could tailor the offense to what Petty is comfortable with...
so a 10 win team that easily could have won 11+ will take a huge step backwards with fitzpatrick next season because why?? what about what fitzpatrick did last season can't happen again in '16 & perhaps '17 as well?? if your answer is "because he sucks" so be it, we strongly disagree..
nobody "gave" fitzpatrick the numbers he put up last season, he earned them..
same way he "earned" a raise, with the jets or somewhere else..
& i do think the only people that don't think the eagles dramatically overpaid bradford, are the eagles.. who exactly did they think they bidding against??
jeezbus!!
