That's arguably a pathetic return for a former first-rounder who seemed to be on the rise last year, but the suspension, together with the fact that the Jets had essentially filled his role appear to have tanked his value.

Looking at the current roster, the team probably lacks an adequate coverage linebacker unless rookie Blake Cashman develops quickly. Maybe the plan will be to go DB-heavy in passing situations.

Lee wasn’t great but I would think he is worth more than that.

At the very least Lee could have been used as a backup and it was his walk year so you would think he would have been motivated. This move I just don't get. It couldn't be the money because Lee didn't cost much. I would have been happy with a late 4th rounder.

A 1st round pick that has started every year since be drafted and had a very good year last year only gets you a 6th? I just don’t get that. I know Gase tried to get more so it won’t question that but damn. A 6th round pick, DAMN!!!

That's dreadful. A sixth rounder is worth less than a packet of Dorritos. The trend of wasted first round defensive draft picks continues. Is it too early to start shopping Q Williams for a lower round pick?

I really didn’t see Lee playing much this year with the addition of a pro bowler. That plus his 4 game suspension made him expendable. Other teams weren’t going to offer much once it became obvious the jets were moving forward without him. It’s a case of too little too late.

Reports were that Lee was a diva, and that many of his teammates didn’t like him. He wasn’t consistent and didn’t deserve a contract extension.

See ya.

It’s frustrating I know but as long as Adam Gase tried to get more than that and common sense would say he did, I’m good with it. It’s not like he called the Chiefs and said give me a 6th for Lee and you can have him or the Chiefs called him and said well give you a 6th for Lee and he said great take him. I’m sure he tried to get more but couldn’t. As long as this is the case I’m good with it. Would it have been better to keep Lee and use him? Maybe so but if this new GM (whenever he comes) and Gase knows how to draft then we can hopefully draft a better player then Lee. We’ll probably never know the answer to how exactly Gase handled this situation but common sense would say he had to of tried to get more then a 6th for Lee.

Lee was not an impact player. Williams probably hated his size. Everyone has seen tape on Lee and we were letting him walk for nothing next year. He was worth about a 6th.

Should have at least been conditional. If Lee starts in KC hes worth more than a 6th.
