The problem with drafting the first RB is that too many resources are dedicated to the player and it actually hurts the team. And considering how little they help the team, it's rarely justified *coughs Saquan Barkley*. @Wahoo shout out to you if you're still here. However, we got him in the second round so it should be ok. We needed an RB and got the best one and it only cost us a 2nd rounder.Absolutely beautiful! Breece will be just as important to this team’s success, as any other rookie and probably any other player. Besides Zach of course!
douglas was rumored to have tried to move back into the 1st to grab hall so they love this kid.. so good, bad, right or wrong douglas wanted a 5 year option on him..The problem with drafting the first RB is that too many resources are dedicated to the player and it actually hurts the team. Freeman was great except for the fact that he wasn't durable. When healthy, I think he measured up well to Eric Dickerson albeit Dickerson was a different kind of back.douglas was rumored to have tried to move back into the 1st to grab hall so they love this kid.. so good, bad, right or wrong douglas wanted a 5 year option on him..
i get a freeman mcneil kind of vibe from this kid...i think he's going to be a special back.. & if he is, he will most certainly help the team..
besides, they clearly feel they got their QB.. i wouldn't have love moving back in the 1st but i do trust the hell out of douglas, so.....
unfortunately he was not durable.. then throw in a couple of freak injuries (dislocated elbow) & there we are..Freeman was great except for the fact that he wasn't durable. When healthy, I think he measured up well to Eric Dickerson albeit Dickerson was a different kind of back.
McNeil was more agile. 3rd and 20, there was a pretty good chance that McNeil could pick it up. Dickerson, not so much.unfortunately he was not durable.. then throw in a couple of freak injuries (dislocated elbow) & there we are..
a healthy mcneil was a HOF level back but no, he was not dickerson..
& dickerson's top end speed was ridiculous especially for a back that tall.. i can still remember him dusting bobby jackson (by far our fastest CB at the time) easily on like an 80 yard TD at shea.. i couldn't believe it..McNeil was more agile. 3rd and 20, there was a pretty good chance that McNeil could pick it up. he's got all the tools with great vision..I was watching his highlight reel today. He likes to run inside.
