I absolutely would like to see the team keep Winters. A lot of fans showed impatience with him, but he has developed into a very solid guard. You can't have All-Pros at every position, but you should keep the solid starters you develop, and Winters is one of them.

I still remember how the fans were so down on Slauson, only to have him move on and do pretty well elsewhere.

They are above average guards and are better than OK... You cannot bash on them for last night.. Shell was awful at RT and Ijilana was worse at LT.... We need Tackles.... We are better than alot of other teams at Guard ... Did you notice how much room Powell had running inside.... TACKLES we need TACKLES

I agree on tackles but the Guards are just Ok as of now......they might get better but just OK now

BTW, if we are being objective about what we really have, I think it bears mentioning that Winters was HORRIBLE last night Ndumakong Suh made Winters his bitch all night. Although, I would be somewhat confident Winters could be a decent player if he had talented Tackles and Centers on either side of him, the best might very well to sign him as depth. I mean last night was just so bad that it was humorous....

Yea winters had an awful game against Suh. A lot of guards do. Literallly his only bad game if the year and against an All Pro.
