The Buccaneers are dealing with injuries on offense. WR Chris Godwin, who leads the team with 98 receptions and 1,103 yards was placed on injured reserve last week as was RB Leonard Fournette, who leads the Bucs with 812 rushing yards and 8 TDs. Then the team placed WR Mike Evans, who has a team-high 11 TD catches, on the reserve/Covid list. Brady, however, has other good players at his disposal that he has chemistry with, such as WR Antonio Brown (10-101 in Week 16) and TE Rob Gronkowski, who has scored 9 TDs against the Jets in 15 games.

"It's a good room," Bucs HC Bruce Arians said. "I've marveled at the guys we've had on our practice squad the last couple of years. Cyril [Grayson] is one of the hardest-working guys we've had and each and every guy on our practice squad has a chance to be a player one day. The receivers room is good. Hopefully we'll get Breshad [Perriman] back this week."

The Jets are likely to be missing starting CB Bryce Hall (reserve/Covid), who started every game to this point and leads the team with 14 PDs.

screwed with no Hall
You’re going to be pleasantly surprised. These kids are aggressive and pretty good in man to man . If the officials don’t make those BS calls, those kids will be just fine.

everyone here and social media came out prior to the season and said secondary would be our weakest group...
now the majority are giddy about the talent and how they have produced they are far from the best but they are still growing...

once the safeties and linebackers can work together and cover the seam and out to the boundaries then the corners can become more aggressive and jump those routes which Saleh's defense is all about... the 4 defensive linemen are suppose to collapse the pocket, fill the gaps and set the edge but the right personnel is not on this roster this year...

will definitely be an interesting off season...

and yes proof is on tape these kids are showing the potential not only in this system but neither side will suffer if one player is out one week because the depth is there... reason they gave money to a player like Dunn because he fits the role of a developmental project who has the base line of a Bryce Hall...

Jason Pinnock found a new home at Safety with his off man cover skills...
Elijah Riley like Pinnock has become a fan favorite the last few weeks...
Ashtyn Davis people dumped on him for not producing, now he has a couple interceptions in his pocket...
Brandin Echols can elevate his game if the Safeties and Linebackers would do their jobs...
Javelin Guidry is a linebacker in a small frame that is fast and agile at the same time...

Michael Carter II has impressed from day one but he was drafted because of his fit to this defensive game plan...
This kid Wildgoose has the tools that Echols is showing now... He is young so they will bring him along slowly...

But this youth movement had to start with this group because they become the anchor to the defense - smothering coverage next year gives the front 7 more time to penetrate and collapse the pocket...

I really don’t like Ashton Davis at SS because I don’t think he has the “sand” to deal with those big TEs down field . At FS roaming the deep middle he’s a playmaker.

understand in this defense the safeties jobs are not like normal...

think of the linebackers and safeties splitting short and medium to medium to deep coverage in the seam out to the boundary...

so technically they have two free safeties on this defense...

but the single high safety should be more of a man cover guy which Pinnock is better at that than Ashtyn Davis...

problem with no Hall is whomever he was assigned falls to the next guy who isn't as good....and his man falls to the next and so on. domino effect with no promise the #1 WR option for TB will be adequately covered.
