Calvin Pryor trade possibility?

Pryor, the Jets' 2014 first-round pick, is entering Year 4. He hasn't been a huge difference maker so far. The Jets have to decide this offseason whether to pick up his fifth-year option for 2018 (which doesn't become a meaningful, binding decision until next offseason). They could also trade him.

One trade possibility floated by a league source: Pryor to the Seahawks for Germain Ifedi, a first-round pick last year. Ifedi was Seattle's right guard last season, but he has a background at right tackle. The Jets are expected to cut right tackle Breno Giacomini. And this draft's tackle class is weak, remember.

Got this off of the ESPN site from an article on the Seahawks 2016 draft class:

Best rookie: Germain Ifedi. The first-round pick has started 10 games at right guard and flashed the potential the team was excited about when it used the 31st overall pick on him in the spring. Ifedi has had ups and downs for sure, but he's shown the ability to bounce back from rough performances and play well. Ifedi is going through the normal progression of a rookie and should continue to improve. The Seahawks originally drafted him to play right tackle, and they'll have to decide if he moves to that spot going into his second season.

So why would the Seahawks make this trade for a third year player who has not distinguished himself at all?

if there's any truth to this rumor, the ifedi kid must be a real piece of work!!

who's kidding who?? seattle is a well run franchise, so if they're in "fire sale" mode with this kid, it's screaming red flag in my eyes..

kind of like when we thought we robbed pittburgh for santonio holmes..

In general, I'd be fine with trading Pryor, even if nothing happens with Seattle. He's wonderful at "blowing someone up" when an opponent has his back turned or is already in someone's grasp. However, he takes terrible angles to the ball, is a poor pass defender, and, worst of all, is a putrid open field tackler. A waste of a 1st round pick. Where have we heard that before?

Bingo.... he flat out is a terrible player. Trade him please either for this guy or a draft pick because like #24 he is a hinderance to the def.
