Can Robby Anderson be a number 2 WR?

In your opinion, has he shown enough to warrant going into the position at that role? Do you think he is anything other than a speedster?

Absolutely, he can. For several reasons. First and foremost the criticism on him is the same DeSean Jackson had when he was young and still has to a degree. Might be to light to be durable for an entire season. But Anderson looks like he can take a hit. Wouldn't hurt him to bulk up a little bit. If Anderson went to a big time school he would have been drafted.... Anyway, with that said. The things that will make Anderson a #2 WR.

1. He is not afraid of contact
2. He catches the ball with his hands and at the highest point
3. Unmatched Speed
4. He played in the slot a bit last year and did very well ( so he can move around)
5. He's 6'3" and he can put on another 15 lbs and not lose any speed

As an undrafted rookie, in a terrible offense where he wasn't utilized by the QB most of the year, he performed well

The last 4 of 5 games of the year he averaged about 4/5 catches a game and 70 yds a game. And again that was in an offense that was awful.

No. He's shown a lot of potential though.

But honestly my reservations with him starts and ends with his frame. Anderson is a very thing, almost frail looking kid. He desperately needs to put on weight. I can't see him holding up to a big Safety popping him right between the numbers? So yeah, he has potential, but assuming nothing has changed since last season, he'll more than likely spend a lot of time on the DL........

let's not forget, instead of putting on some much needed weight on that 6'3" frame, he dropped from 195 to 190.. at least that what he weighed in his mug shot..

unless your job is to kick the the ball, i can't see a guy being a starter at 6'3" 190..

In a super competitive flag football league?? sure.. not the NFL..

Agreed, but I can honestly say if he puts on weight, I would love to see what kind of player the team nets. I am also very willing and 100% in on letting him gain the weight necessary and see how things go.........

Totally can agree with being concerned about his weight and frame.

Not sure how you can conclude he can put on weight AND not lose speed.
who's asking the kid to put on 20+ pounds?? he's a greyhound.. i don't think that's lost on any of us here..

call me crazy but if i were bowles, i would have insisted on 10 pounds of muscle this off season..

but even if you're right, looking at the kid's frame/age, he looks like he would have a hell of an easier time losing the extra 10 pounds, than putting them on.. & if so, what would be the harm??

but hey, if anderson can be a starting WR at a gaunt 6'3" 190, more power to him..
