I'm hoping to buy one off the top shelf, approximately 26 years old, already a perennial All-Pro, no rap sheet, no history of injuries, basically the Archangel Michael in football pads?

Reason being, I've heard a million reasons NOT to trade for the best LT in football, Trent Williams, who by some miracle of miracles just happens to be available, probably considering his age (31) and he is not the Archangel Michael, so I'm assuming there must be a store somewhere where we can just pick one as good or better off the top shelf?

Beachum can hold the fort one more year. He’s a decent player.

He's a bit more than that. I think the fan base got so spoiled from having D'Brick and Mangold locking down the two most important OL positions for years (and at C, Mawae before Mangold) that we just presume it will be easy. In this case, Beachum has been more than adequate. He's been a solid starter.

I would not turn down an upgrade if available, but if the cost is high, there are far more positions that need to be addressed first.

Exactly right.

Giving up 7th rounders for o-line depth/competition is one thing. But the Skins are going to ask for a huge return in any deal for Trent Williams, despite his age and injury history. Beachum is a good LT. We can address that position next year as he finishes up his contract.

The only position I’m considering giving up high draft picks for is CB (if I’m JD). If Douglas wants to deal a 2nd next year for a quality starting CB, I’m all in. But I doubt many teams are going to want to deal starting corners in this pass happy league. Having a solid secondary is more important than ever.

The problem is not LT its RT. Beachum was LT for Bell's best season so I trust there is some familiarity.

I’m sorry but our oline is better then decent but our real issue is CB. Now I’m sure Douglas will most likely address the oline first because that’s his niche and I’m cool with that but CB is a major issue for us and oline isn’t. Might just be my opinion and that’s cool!

JD needs to find another CB and probably another kicker. If he does, this team will be looking really good.

Agreed. Perfect scenario is if our rookies, K. Brown and B. Austin could step up and be our number #1 and #2 CBs and Johnson, Roberts and Poole can be the depth players. Likely hood of that happening is as good as the Jets winning the SB this year.

The LT store is open April 25-27 and is located on Las Vegas Blvd. I'd suggest buying early.
