No wonder Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim was “very optimistic” D.J. Humphries would remain with the team.

Three days after Keim made his declaration, the left tackle and the Cardinals reached agreement on a new deal.

Mike Garaolo reports that Humphries will sign a three-year, $45 million with $30 million over the first two years and $29 million guaranteed.

Humphries would have found a healthy free agent market but opted to return to the team that drafted him in the first round in 2015.

Humphries, 26, played all 16 games for the first time in his career. That came at a good time, in the final year of his deal, setting him up for a big pay day.

Humphries earned $18.5 million in the first five seasons of his career, starting 43 games.

If you want a LT cheap, look at Greg Robinson. I bet he could be signed dirt cheap right now.

always thought they were going DL

either Derrick Brown or Javon Kinlaw

unless they trade out...

I've heard that also but most of the mocks have them selecting OT. We'll see soon enough I guess.

That is a so so deal in this day & age he is considered a avg to good OT...…..But I want better...maybe he will get better as he has only played one year...….A Dl or another tackle would be great. They need a guard too, Cb, WR etc But I would say one of the lines will be it
