No one's been able to show me a GM who's gotten more talent from the last two drafts.

NFL is becoming increasingly reliant on quantitative analytics -- Idzik's strength. Just look at Belichick and Adams.

Yes. He's light years away from what we have now. His O-line sucks. His accuracy is top 5. His accuracy under pressure is even better. His interception percentage is Rodgers-like.

Need more evidence? The Redskins don't like him!!

I can't understand fans rooting for Winston, with his 5% interception rate, coming to the NFL and throwing like Brady and/or Rodgers. Things get more difficult in the NFL, not easier.

You keep mentioning the drafts, but never mention his lack of FA's. He has picked one stud , Ivory and Harvin and the rest are pretty much garbage. I don't care if he competes with the rest of the league for garbage picks. I want a GM that can evaluate talent and pick a coach. Show me why we should keep Idzik?? 3-12 is why we shouldn't.

What talent has he brought in during this past draft? Only decent player is Amaro but he didn't set the world on fire. I am hoping that Pryor and Shaq pan out.

It's not all about the draft, it's about his lack of vision going into the season with the little weapons that we had both at WR and CB. Why would he rely on Patterson as the number 2 cb?

Why rely on Kerley as the number 2 wr when he hasn't shown much more above being a 3. Even Idzik admitted his mistake by trading for Harvin.

His best moves as GM were Sheldon, Ivory and Harvin.

Everything else, is less than mediocre.

The Free Agents -- Harvin and Ivory were not Free Agents. Harvin was a draft pick trade and so was Ivory. Other than Decker, the rest were pretty much garbage. But they were small signings, pretty much "show me" deals. He did not tie up large amounts of cap money in a big name signing that fell through. Other than CJ, I can't think of a player who even made the team who turned out to be a total waste.

And yes I think CJ is a waste. I think he's a great talent who just does not care. So unlike Richardson.

Who should the Jets have signed in free agency ... maybe Tate? Did I miss it? Was Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers available in Free Agency last year?

Idzik made a few mistakes: (1) he drafted Geno; (2) he drafted the wrong wide outs in the 4th and 5th rounds; he did not sign Revis; and instead stuck with Paterson who committed career suicide. This latter error was magnified when Milliner and MacDougal were IR'd. But I speculate that the Revis non-signing had something to do with Woody.

On other error I would add: he should have traded up to get Beckham who looks like he's the best receiver in the game.

I know Harvin and Ivory were trades for picks and that's why I threw them in with draft picks. Doesn't matter we are 3-12 because of the garbage he has drafted or the lack of FA's. And I wouldn't consider Decker a great signing. He is closer to the garbage side than great.

I just think the organization needs a fresh start from top to bottom. He hasn't shown me anything that gives me hope and as a fan that is all you can ever ask for is hope. Rex gave it to us for 2 years.

Are you saying that Pryor is a bust? After one year? he's not even decent? MacDougal, Evans are injured. Aboushi is at least a decent guard in his first 6 or so games. Reilly was a 7th and there's hope that he's going to pan out as a starting LB. With all his 6th and 7th round picks who did you think Idzik would come up with? Tom Brady?? The only real mistakes were Saunders and Geno.

The tip off to the bias reporting about Idzik was the Shaq Evans story. Just before his injury, they were saying first that he would only make the team because the Jets lacked talent. Then when he got hurt they said he was not going to make the team because he was bad in camp. He was a 1st year 5th round selection; why even the focus? Kerley was a 4th, and stood out, and so was Cotchery (who Rex and TB let go like he sucked). I don't think he relied on Kerley as a No. 2. I think it was never about this year. Kerley is their slot receiver. Harvin was simply a gift.

Charlie Casserly???? I love him because he hates Bellichick. But cmon man.

I think the dye is cast. Woody id going to fire Rex and Idzik on Monday. Why would he bring in Casserly and Wolf if no major changes were planned?

how about why it seems every other team in the league has a rookie number 13 WR burning things up??

I know 13 is retired with the jets but still..

I agree that Idzik is gone. I'm just saying it's a huge mistake. The question is why even rely on Casserly in the first place?

"Who's been more wrong than Charlie Casserly?" Bill Belichick.

If you offered John Idzik to the thirty one other teams in the NFL in exchange for their GM, how many do you think would take that trade?

My guess: zero.

It only seems that way. It's not actually the case. Look closer. Those guys with the burners oftentimes (not always) have a good QBs throwing to them. Other times they played well early in the season and now they're leveling off. We have a poor QB AND we run the ball a thousand times a game. If we had Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball, it's likely that we'd all be saying what a great slot receiver Kerley is. And we'd be saying how great Amaro could be ... but for his lapses in concentration.
