At least Casserly has had some success in his career. Idzik's only claim to fame is to be able to get rid of debt and not spend. Dave Ramsey would love him!!

Two points:

At this point in his career, Idzik is on par with Casserly.

It's easy to say someone "had success" simply because he was with an organization that was successful. The hard part is trying to determine how much of that success was attributable to him. In this case how much of the Skins success was due to Casserly. It may have been significant ... I don't know.

You have little basis for that conclusion. I suspect you're following the crowd who followed the press who dislike Idzik because he shut them down.

Seriously, if I were the GM or owner I would have a list of 5 potential head coaches always ready. The list would be updated monthly or quarterly. It would be totally confidential. The Jets knew that Rex was on shaky ground since October. Now they start their search?? Are you kidding me??

Who's got Woody's ear? The trouble with the Jets starts with him.

Nope I'm just not a moron and I'm following the 3-12 record which is the only stat that matters. The two threads were combined because you felt the need to start another one. Hopefully all your threads will be closed tomorrow.

I didn't say you're a moron. But I do believe you're frustrated and it's blinding your thinking. Typical fan reaction: "Fire everyone" "clean house" etc. Then back it up with any facts to support your conclusion. You've got it backwards. First you look closely at the problem, and then you make your conclusions. To look at the Jets poor record and scream "it's the only stat that matters" is superficial. Of course 3-12 is awful and they need to make changes. But you need to look very closely at what caused them to be 3-12. The #1 answer is Quarterback play. At the most important position, they have the worst player. It's not the GM.

I did look at the facts and Idzik is the reason. Whose fault is it that we don't have a QB??

When was the last good QB available? That would be Alex Smith. We couldn't pursue him because Tannenbaum had us in cap hell. After that, Idzik selected Geno and signed Vick. Those were really the only QBs that were available.

Calling someone an idiot doesn't address the issues, and is obviously a line to hide the fact that you're obviously wrong. You can make all the cute lines you want, it doesn't change the facts. And I think you realize that.

Because when I have asked you to tell me why Idzik should stay, you can't come up with anything better than he is not as bad as other GM's!!
