I’ve been meaning to post something like this for a couple of weeks. I now have more to look forward to in the near and distant future as long as Robert doesn’t return and undo what his baby brother is establishing. I don’t care whatever beat writers decide to concoct to get a hit but it appears that Chris finally decided to put his stamp on this unsuccessful franchise. We recall once Woody took control of this organization we’ve witnessed Parcells and Belichick walk. The team hasn’t been consistent since. Before I open old wounds better left healed somewhat let me continue.
Chris took over running this team in 2017. We had both Bowles and Mac in office. We were losers period. And aside from a couple of good picks we were far from competing on a regular basis. Yes I can give credit for a few games where the team put things together. But slides followed more than streaks.
I feel that Chris came into this organization initially following the instructions of Robert, or at least didn’t shake anything up from a financial point. What I mean is he didn’t invest the money to place a premium on scouting, pro or college, or hire a staff of prominent employees who had a united vision. Successful teams have consistency from top to bottom. Yes all teams lose individuals who go on to promotions with other teams; but the core remains. We’ve haven’t had that. I’m feeling better about the direction now. The growth now comes from making solid decisions on players and developing them to be fixtures on the team. Again I’m hoping Chris hangs around long enough to turn this team around. I know that Robert will at some point return. I hope his frugality doesn’t on front office staff. It really makes a difference.
