Can't say he's a Super Star, but Snacks is one of the best NT's in the NFL.

Actually can't say Chrebet was a Super Star either. Very good player and a fan favorite

Yeah, Snacks and Brandon moore were the first two I thought of...but they arent "super stars." In all honesty, other than Brady, how many unknown/undrafted "super stars" can you think of off the top of your head? guys like Colston stand out because it happens so infrequently, if you hold it against the Jets...you should hold it against everyone. Not many teams rely on 5th rd picks and lower to pan out and contribute...doesnt happen often. For every Richard Sherman, there are 20 Revis, Cro, petterson, Hadens, Law, Champ Bailey's, and Woodson's that were top pick CBs...that's where they come from, the top of the board...it will always be rare to find Tom Brady's at the bottom of the draft...that's why you remember where they went, it doesnt happen often...

Lets not get too excited. the kid went undrafted in 2012 and has sense been on the Chargers, 9ers, and Bucs before he came here...the Bucs went into week #1 last year with Owusu as their #3 WR...butthe kid has spent the last 2 years nothing but hurt...so the Bucs eventually gave up on him and cut him also.

the Jets are his 4th team...its not just rex that didn't play or gave up on him...

he was projected heading into his senior year to be a top 1-2 rd pick prospect...then spent his entire senior season hurt with injury and suffered multiple concussions. This isn't DeSean Jackson or even Kerley...this is the Dee Milliner of WRs...always hurt...

I skimmed over it then scrolled down looking for your post, because I remember you like the kid, and this is what I get....damn. :)

Didn't he have a good game vs Miami? I just remember you liking him as a potential replacement for Harvin. In all honesty, what we knew about our WRS after Decker, Marshall, and Kerley is kind of moot. We haven't seen Salas, Evans, Enu, Osuwu, etc in Chan's spread offense.

As an example, Salas runs great routes and has solid hands, making him a great fit for Marty's WCO, but Owusu's speed and wiggle may make him a better fit at WR than Salas and he jumps to #4 and makes it in some packages. What we used to value at WR may not be the same characteristics we need to watch for in the future. I look forward to seeing how Chan uses this group and if he's told Mac we need to add to it. I would guess the answer is yes, but he has this guy, Enu, and Evans to evaluate also. Seems like fun bottom of the roster stories.

Good stuff but Salas is no longer on the roster. It will still be great theater for these WR's to emerge.
