Everyone saw that coming from a mile away. But it's certain there will be a QB carousel this season anyway? The OL is so bad this far into preseason they're pointing fingers at each other. They don't understand their blocking assignments. Brandon Shell got abused by JPP.

Mac stays. Bowles may be gone. And right now, I think he deserves it.
I'm actually sorta surprised. I thought the fact that McCown didn't play games 2 and especially 3 and he got no practice reps over the past two weeks, they really wanted one of the youngsters to step up. I also thought being that Petty sorta stepped up over the past two games they would give it to him. Doesn't matter, McCown will must likely get hurt by game 3 and/or he will play horrible enough to be benched by games 3-5. Guess the youngsters didn't show enough or this was their plan the entire time. TB will be gone by next year and maybe even Mac. So who gives a fuck!!! I just hope they don't mess up our chances to draft Darnold or Allen. Can't win anymore than 2-3 games max to get that top 1-2 spot. Jacksonville and San Francisco will be hot on our asses for the 1-2 draft spots. We should have a vote on this, I say McCown is gone by games 3-5, Petty comes in and gets hurt or plays bad enough and he is gone by games 8-10 and Hack finishes the season. They win 1-2 games max and draft Darnold or Allen. Only bright spot to this season.

I think your looking at this the wrong way my friend. I understand where your coming from and agree, in a normal situation like what Rex Ryan did to us his last year, I get it. However, with this horrible oline the skilled offensive players being no better and the QBs being the worst combined in the history of the league. I can't see the Jets winning anymore then 2 games anyway. That should be good enough for that #1 or 2 spot. Doesn't matter what TB wants to do, the team is the team and they suck. They are no better then a lucky, and I do mean lucky 2 win team and it doesn't matter who the QB is. So I think we're good regardless.

What about Toilets promise from the off season that he wouldn't be using Sheldon as a linebacker anymore? Now, I see in every preseason game he has Sheldon Playing stand up linebacker? If we all bothered to sit down and list all of the complaints we had about Toilet we'd be here all night.
the short answer is, he makes decisions/lies like nobody is keeping track of them.. well, we are "coach "bowles.."

TB is trying every bit to hold on to his job and win or just say fuck it, "I'm going against what you want me or your telling me to do just to piss you off because I know I'm getting fired anyway." Either way, with a normal bad team this might turn out to work against us but in this situation I don't think so. The Jets are probably the worst team in franchise and all of NFL history period. So if this is the case and it appears so, it really doesn't matter what TB and the rest of this CS does. The Jets will go 0-16 and win 2 games at most if their lucky. So I believe were looking dead in the face of Darnold or Allen and we will draft one of them in 2018.

I don't want to UNDER react to what Toilet is doing, but I think a lot of you may be overreacting to it? I don't necessarily think Toilet starting the best QB on the roster makes there record better?
Look, based on how this team has looked in the preseason, I absolutely CANNOT see this team winning any more than TWO games. They are just so bad in every area, INCLUDING defense, that most should not see this team actually having a chance in more than or 2 games.

mainie, I could live with missing out on either the USC, or the UCLA QB if we find out if petty can play..
