AGREED 1,000,000,000,000 percent. He was better than any QB we have ever drafted. Besides Broadway Joe and Pennington. The Jets would be 2-1 with him right now and most in their way to a 9 or 10 win season with him. Maybe even more wins than that!
It would hardly have turned out worse than it has and in that time we could have been drafting OL and bringing on a young QB to takeover behind a solid OL.

He choice to kneel and he choice to do so for the right freaking reasons. He made that perfectly clear why he did it and he still got black balled! I don’t want to get into the politics here but what the NFL did to him was BULLSHIT! If your not black or brown, than you really wouldn’t understand!

He made a stand at what he believed was right. He made his money from the NFL and like they say driving a car is a privilege so is playing in the NFL.
They told him to stop even after the players union had his back but when they turned on him bc he went too far he lost that privilege.
If this is true that he is now begging a team that had interest in him before, shows how little respect the league has for him.
Plus to most teams at this point he has aged out.

It's quite a clever letter. He would be HONORED to lead our PS and simulate Mahomes, Wilson or Hurts. But he knows that within a few weeks the crowd would be calling for him to replace the hapless Zach. He stretches credulity too far when he professes belief that Zach can take the Jets to a Superbowl. As for being 'aged out' how does he compare with our notional starter for next year? Would have made a change for the Jets to only be on one knee.
