So watching this show from the start of season one as i was to young to watch it on tv but it seems to me even without the new technology and the modern forensics.
the murders on that show are alot smarter than the people we see commit crimes on csi, body of evidence, ncis, and a host of hundreds of other cop dramas.
Don't know if you ever caught Perscription Murder the made-for-TV movie in 1968, with Peter Falk debuting in the role. In this pilot episode, Columbo appears more smartly dressed, with Falk appearing in suits, shorter hair and wearing more stage makeup, rather than the shabby appearance that would later become the character's trademark. He also appears somewhat more aggressive when confronting suspects.
Hallmark movie and mystery channel is running a columbo marathon and this episode will run Monday morn at 7 am
Dvr it ,tape it ,,whatever but if you like columbo this is a must to see how it started.
Gene Barry , from the Name of the Game series, ( also before your time ) is the murderer...it's excellent
It's rarely shown and don't think it's on Netflix with the others.
