Jahan Dotson anyone? like I have been saying all along...
it is not the size of the beast, it is the play of the beast that makes him that beast and Dotson proving he can be that beast...
i hate drafting WR's early...would rather have another team train them to be an NFL Receiver and then sign them as a FA; 0% bust factor.
but this kid is silky smooth, and picks balls out of the air with his fingertips. stops...cuts...re-starts in a moment. jump cuts to re-set his feet while he is already in motion.
sign me up!

Depends on when we’re making the pick . Dotson is nice but I don’t have the hots for him like I did for Moore .
Dotson is rated roughly 22 - 28... and is worth that pick... expect us to trade down to a team in that range...
I like Davis….. he is a solid #2 WR. But to be fair…. I like Cole a bit better. Next season I would like to see a FA 1, Davis 2, Moore SLOT, Cole #4, Berrios #5. I’m pretty sure Mims will be gone…

Yes there is. It’s called coaches choice. Mims apparently is not the right flavor. Weird thing is he seems to be always open whenever he’s out there .

my money is on him to do a few things if given the routes Cory was better than #84...
1.) he catches the ball.
2.) he stays on his feet.
3.) he turns some into big gainers.
same for dig routes. the best we could hope for from Cory was to catch it.

LaFleur has tried to get Mims more involved and his reps on offense has increased but between the food poisoning in the off season then contracting covid his physical system has been on the down side... Football Shape is a big disparity reasons why he has not taken that next step... He has all the tools to be that vertical option in LaFleur's game plan... But same time Mims coming out of Baylor, he knew one route "9"... LaFleur wants him to learn more, and as he grows the more involved in this offense and we seen Zach have hooked up with Denzel on a few throws...
IMO, this is good for Zach and the entire O. He is not #1 receiver, and feeding him the ball is taking tries away from Moore, and Crowder, and gotta say it even if Bart Scott disagrees, Berrios. they are more reliable to be in position and to make plays.
not to mention they parted ways with practice squad receiver Keelan Doss, so Mims is more of a prime option for the rest of the season...
he needs to be productive when his number is called, nothing else... If he balls out it is a win, if he does his job it is a win... He is still developing so end of the year review will see if he has taken a step forward or back...
Tarik Black (6-3, 206) was most recently with the Colts' practice squad. He signed with Indianapolis in May undrafted free agent out of Texas where he spent his graduate transfer year. He began his college career at Michigan. In 23 college games (17 for the Wolverines, 6 for the Longhorns), Black totaled 50 receptions, 747 yards (14.9 avg) and 3 TDs. was added to the practice squad wonder how or if he is a game day elevation during the remainder of the season...
