There is usually an overreaction to preseason games. The bullets don’t really start flying until Sept 8.

Even in a vanilla scheme, the CB's are allowed to make a play. These CB's suck worse than TJ and being a passing league we should expect some high scoring games. Glad we have a QB and some weapons on offense.

I agree. The defensive backs we had on the field we’re not good, and we’ll have to have much better play once the season starts. A healthy Marcus Maye would help.

Maye is healthy, and a full go. Trumaine Johnson is making good progress and still expected to be ready for week 1 or 2. I’m confident that somebody will emerge for the #2, probably Roberts or Kyron Brown when he’s 100%. Poole is the slot corner.

Is it the Legion of Boom secondary? No. But I also don’t think we’re in that bad of a situation either.

The CB's can be helped if we get to QB quickly. If not this is an awful CB group and TJ barely makes it better based on last years performance. Polite needs to get his head out his ass and get to the QB.

Inconsistent I can go with that! I wasn't necessarily calling him garbage. So if I gave you that impression that is incorrect but he's underperformed in a major way for his contract and I definitely don't trust Johnson. Hopefully he changes my mind on that this year. Poole and Roberts might actually be better then I think they are but I have to see it to believe it.

Where did you read that about TJ? I read today he is out week 1 and still indef. They say he may miss 3 or even 4 games now. It wasnt just a tweak - he pulled it, that takes a while to heal up
