There has been some rumblings that Q wants to be paid but some are weary that like a former Jet got his money then shut it down until we ended up releasing him. Not saying he has that same mindset but there have been some inklings that the some in the front office are worried about paying him the type of money he clearly has been earning the past few years. Still fairly young superstar could be a chip the Packers would request for AR? The Jets defense is anchored by this young man and would survive without him but how important is he in Saleh/Ulbrich's scheme?

He has had fluctuating success with us, when on an up season he has been devastating but it has to be said the worry of paying these guys and them taking the bag and downing tools is very real.

It must happen at plenty of teams and not just the Jets, I don't really follow the league as a whole but you notice the standout players who serve their team for 10 years, giving it their all.

For every Mangold, there is a Mo Wilkerson.

this would be a really bad message if they don't sign him........to the rest of the NFL players he clearly performed.....and then to not pay him will only draw one bad conclusion that will have butterfly effects. Joe needs to get it done.

I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt and to get paid. As stated above we need to set good examples if we want players to be wanting to come here.

If you deal Quinnen because you don’t want to pay him, that really throws the organization in a bad light. Quinnen is a drafted talent, homegrown….. you don’t do that to homegrown young players
nothing really to disagree with here..

that said, after the jets do pay him all we can do is hope williams is real pro & doesn't go into semi retirement mode after signing his big contract..
