Could the Sheldon situation have worked out any better?

Mac trades this cancer away for a 2nd rounder (something pretty much no one thought he'd ever get) and Jermaine Kearse. meanwhile, just by happen stance, Kony Ealy becomes available over the waiver wire. The Jets spend NOTHING getting him and he's dominating right now. Serving as a leader for the rest of the team.

Does anyone really believe we would ever gotten that out of Sheldon if he were still here? BTW, it should be noted that Sheldon is barely even producing at all in Seattle right now. He's basically been a non factor for Seattle.

As much as I have criticized Mac, and I know Kony Ealy is another guy in a list of guys that fell in his lap, I think he deserves a lot of credit for this? He's had plenty of good players fall in his lap and at least he's had the presence of mind to take those players when they do..........

I agree. In addition to Sheldon, the other players let go have not been productive either.

Mac has had some misses, but he has some big hits. I can't believe Ealy is related to Richardson.

Basically saying he has missed on some pickups and draft picks and hit it big on some. Then I was thinking out loud what a douche Richardson is and Ealy seems to be the exact opposite and they are related.

Oh yeah. I forgot they were related. Lets hope Sheldon dingbat doesn't rub off on Ealy........

Everyone that Mac has gotten rid of has not performed at all. Just shows you the team gave it its all in 2015 and had nothing left last year

Nick Folk
Eric Decker
Brandon Marshall
Sheldon Richardson
David Harris
Revis (Not in league)
Mangold (Not in league)

I am sure I am missing a bunch of others.

Nick Folk had troubles in the past. Dallas fired him before he came to us. Westhoff worked with him and got him back on track.

I think that's his problem in Tampa right now, not enough good coaching to guide him? He would still be here right now if it weren't for his money demands? He had a good run of reliability with us. Mac probably would have had to pay him handsomely to stay. However, Mac was all about clearing cap space during the off season.

Lets not forget Mac's signing of David Bass (Bad Ass). He's been rushing the passer creating havoc in the back field as well.

Excellent finds.

In all honesty, I believe the next one to go is Mo before the trade deadline. I'd take a 3rd for him at this point. He gives no effort whatsoever since he signed his contract.

Ealy, Bass, Brooks...all have paid early dividends, let's hope they can sustain their solid play.

Its amazing how some players play when they have a chip on their shoulders as opposed to getting a boat load of cash then dropping off the face of the earth and not buying into what the coach is preaching.

No ones going to trade for that bloated contract, for a DE that is practically single blocked out of the play, every play. With Williams opposite him he should be eating up those blocks and creating havoc. That's what his paycheck says he's doing.
He needs to really step it up.
Although the run defense has gotten better.
