McDermott will seemingly be placed on the 3 week injured reserve today(after 4pm), BUT his true value lies in his versatility of being able to backup both guard and tackle positions. He also seemingly upped his game this summer until his injury.
Feeney is wildly inconsistent, his primary value is on game day being able to backup all 3 interior positions, but if needed for extended duty the OL is in trouble.

Don't disregard that Fant will probably assume some of the 2nd or 3rd TE duties(goal line and short yardage etc)as he did in Seattle(where he even caught a few passes) prior to signing with the Jets. His first responsibility though will be backing up Moses and Becton, but as such will be on the game day roster every week.
