Very happy to get Marshall for a6th rounder! He's shown his reputation was exaggerated. It's a good sign when we had several players deserving of the award instead of one who wins it by default.

No his rep wasn't exaggerated. I remember when he played for Miami. Total thug. If you want some interesting reading google Brandon Marshall, Domestic violence.
He wants to be a talking head when he retires. He knows he must clean up his act, and project a good guy image to keep that job. Also think Fitz is the perfect personalty to keep him from acting out. Great timing by the Jets
And winning can change people. If we were losing, it might be different.

I didn't mean to discredit his past behavior, but I meant that he had matured and his rep is still from a couple years ago. Mac daddy thought he would work on this roster, and he has.

His documented mental disorder had everything to do with his past behavior. Not condoning it in any way, but now that it is under control he has become a model teammate and citizen. I think that saying it is all in a desire for a post playing career is unfair to him.
Read up on him and his efforts and work with and for mental disorders. I have great respect for him as a man, even more than I have for him as a player.

I suspect most people who have a dozen or so domestic abuse police calls have some kind of mental disorder. Most of them happened in the wee hours of the morning so I'm guessing alcohol was also involved. If he's turned the page on that good for him.
My response was to the fact that the OP said his rep was exaggerated. It wasn't. His rep was, what it was.

Marshall is a monster, I still can't believe we got him for a 5th RD Pick.

Proud to say I've had him as my signature all year, since back in the preseason. I'm not gonna lie and say I saw this kind of monster season coming, but I knew he was the legit, elite, BIG #1 WR we lacked.

Perhaps I worded my statement poorly. I meant all the experts predicting we would be a circus led by Marshall. That he would make our locker room toxic. So far, 15 games into the season, those predictions have been far off. Not to mention the rumor was, Chicago wanted to move cutler also.
