I doubt any of us were really worried he would sign. We all just wanted him in camp from day 1.

I don’t care where he starts on the depth chart as long as Bowles is capable of looking past his love for McCown and letting Darnold play if it’s close.

the jets agreed to change the contract language to he could lose guaranteed monies only from suspension, not from fines, and they offered to pay his signing bonus as a lump sum instead of over the next few years and they guaranteed future roster bonuses. darnold's side agreed to drop their fight on the offset language
