Joe Douglas has implemented a rating system that draws attention to any off-field concerns:
So who will be picked with the No. 11 pick?
This concern of character could eliminate Mekhi Becton from the running, or does it? So if the top three or (two) preferred tackles are off the board do the Jets go EDGE, CB or do they take the best possible player on their board which may be Henry Ruggs or CeeDee Lamb if they are still available... Maybe they trade down, knowing one of their next Top 10 are going to be available after the trade down and will be okay with anyone of them left to choose from while stocking an additional 2nd round plus more draft capitol? A lot of what ifs, but with only 27ish hours away we will find out what they will do...
But if the Jets don't go receiver with that pick in the first round then arguably they will go get a target for Darnold in the second...
2nd round Pick: Receiver? But Who?
Michael Pittman Jr.
Chase Claypool
Laviska Shenault Jr.
Jalen Reagor
"Character, or a 'C' alert, plays an important — and sometimes nebulous –— role in the grading scale. A 'C' alert could have multiple layers that play a part in the overall grade. Character matters, but there are always exceptions and amendments if the value becomes too great. It's not as if Douglas only drafts choir boys."

2nd round Pick: Receiver? But Who?
Michael Pittman Jr.
Michael Pittman Jr. would be the perfect second-round pick for the Jets. He’s my favorite wideout of this group by a pretty wide margin, as I believe that he has the potential to be a No. 1 target. The ideal scenario for Douglas would be to exit the first two rounds with one of the elite offensive tackles and Pittman.
Chase Claypool
Chase Claypool could serve as the physical target that Sam Darnold so desperately needs. Although Claypool is a more risky selection because of his rawness and lack of polish, his elite mix of size and speed make him worthy of a flier.
Laviska Shenault Jr.
Laviska Shenault is another wide-out that the Jets could target because of his upside. He has the potential to be as good as almost any receiver in the draft, but there are serious concerns about his durability and injury history. If Shenault can stay healthy, he could become a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver, but that’s a big “if.”
Jalen Reagor
Jalen Reagor isn’t the biggest receiver at 5-foot-11, 206 pounds, but he’s quick, explosive, and he plays larger than his size. Considering his stature, Reagor’s ability to win jump-balls is very impressive and helps give him that home-run ability. The 21-year-old also returns kicks and can be an asset in gadget plays.
