Good choice.

From Wikipedia:

Erik Charles McMillan (born May 3, 1965) is a former American football defensive back. He played for the New York Jets from 1988 until 1992, Philadelphia Eagles (1993), Cleveland Browns (1993), and Kansas City Chiefs (1993). McMillan was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1988 and 1989. In 1988, McMillan was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press. He led the AFC in interceptions that year with eight. McMillan was the first Jets player in team history to play in the Pro Bowl his first two seasons.
He is the son of former St. Louis Cardinals Pro Bowl tackle Ernie McMillan, and first cousin of Howard Richards, former first round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 1981.

If you watched this kid his first two years, you thought he was ticketed for Canton, he was that good. Those two years he was the best ballhawking safety in the league, THINK ED REED, he was that kind of ballhawk. I remember one game he picked off Marino, when Marino was at the top of his game and terrorizing defenses, and took it to the house. Marino went nuts. Got red faced and was cursing up a storm on the sidelines. It was hilarious.

Anyway, I don't know what happened, there were rumors that he had a huge chip on his shoulder that really alienated his teammates, and that he became too infatuated with INT's and padding his stats and would often blow his coverage while trying to jump routes for INT's, there were also rumors that he got a big head and became uncoachable. I'm not sure what it was, its still a bit of a mystery, but for whatever reason he went from being the best ballhawking safety in the league in his first two years, to losing his starting job by year four or five, then getting cut or traded for a bag of peanuts, and having a hard time even staying in the league. Its one of the steepest and most rapid declines I have ever seen for what looked like a great player that did not involve injuries or drug suspensions.

I posted earlier, I didn't think the countdown was accurate.

Either that or Lewis buys his calendars at the same place Geno buys watches.

7/23 sounds to early. Their first preseaon game isn't until 8/13, they usually report slightly longer than two weeks prior which would be around the 29th.

Could it be 7/23 is the 1st day players can check in and take physicals but the actual camp starts a week later.

Usually not that long a lag time between check in and practice, maybe a couple of days.

Looks right. Training camp can start 15 days before the first preseason game so that would be July 29. So 28 days!!!!

Also, rookies and QBs can report a week earlier so we may only be 3 weeks away from TC football and maybe some early reports.

According to this published a couple of days ago The Jets have not announced camp dates yet.

[h=1]NFL training camp 2015 schedule[/h][h=3]New York Jets[/h]Location: Atlantic Health Training Center; Florham, N.Y.
Camp opens: TBD
In that case I'm sticking with the countdown

By September, a few days in July probably won't matter all that much to anybody at JFU in my opinion

You can always adjust the countdown if necessary.

Here is one that is not in doubt.

Thanks for posting, as you might have guessed, I have seen this quite a few times. In fact, the Wall Street Journal ran a story a couple of days before the draft on why Jet fans always boo at the draft. I was one of about 10 guys to meet with the reporter at our "Jet" bar near Wrigley Field and was quoted in his story.
