DC Jeff Ulbrich: 'Not Good Enough'

After 532 yards of total offense by the Colts on Thursday night, defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich's job just got tougher with Maye's season-ending injury.

"It's a combination of the coaches having to put them in better spots and they have to play better, too," Ulbrich said. "We're all in this together. It's a collective effort. The run defense was just not good enough [Indy had 260 net yards rushing with RB Jonathan Taylor amassing 172 yards on 19 carries]. From a coaching perspective it was not good enough and from a player perspective it was not good enough.

"The only way out of this hole is digging together and that's what we're going to do."

Colts DC can’t be too happy either. They coughed up almost 500 yards, 30 points to a third string QB that hasn’t played in forever, also back up LT and missing their #1 WR. Also an offense starting 3 rookies and the worst RG in the NFL. So there’s that also.
I don’t want to hear about any prevent defense bullshit either, plus, I heard on talk radio that Reich took his foot off the gas, more bullshit. They were going for it all game, even going for it on fourth and short a few times to score. Turns out they needed all those scores.

I agree. The Colts didn't let up the entire game. And I don't recall them playing prevent.

I am starting to have doubts about Saleh, LaFleur and Jeffy Cakes. I hear no talks of discipline after shitting the bed, because "everyone's so hard on themselves for being so bad at what they make a small fortune for doing".

F That...the next time they get embarrassed like that, the coaches should go through film sessions, and let them have their little sulky wulky session where they proclaim their disgust in themselves. then, hit the practice field.

the first time the first player takes the first incorrect breath out of the first incorrect nostril, then the entire unit does gassers until they puke...and then they finish practice.

i bet they won't have too much to feel disgusted about after the next game...but i bet their opponents will.
