Mims (hamstring) isn't present at Wednesday's practice, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Though Mims is eligible to be designated to return from injured reserve, the Jets aren't yet willing to open a 21-day window to evaluate the rookie wideout in practice. Since Mims will presumably need to turn in a full week of practice before making his NFL debut, he's looking unlikely to be activated and added to the 53-man roster ahead of the team's next game Sunday versus the Cardinals.
