But yes, Cager didn't break off his route and settle in the end zone and open the window for Darnold to throw too but he continued his route right into the recovery of Rhodes for the interception...
This is not on Cager, first game and he looked raw... Experience and play time he will realize to settle down in zone defense and give a target for the QB... At Georgia he didn't have to face this complicated defensive sets...
He ran wrong route first interception (pick 6)...
He should of broke off that route in the end zone...
I blame the coaching, maybe the preparation was there but regardless game time there should be someone in the kid's ear explaining scenarios for him to take advantage of and help the QB... Clearly no one did...
