Did I miss something or are we still carrying only 52 players?

Last I heard Devin Smith was headed to the IR after a torn ACL was disclosed, but at the official Jets website he's still listed as an active member of the 53 man roster, and of course we have yet to name his replacement on the 53.

So its Thursday, we have a game on Saturday, and we're still carrying 52 healthy players, or did I miss something?

In the presser yesterday Bowles said Smith WOULD be put on IR. As in the future. No idea what they are waiting for but it hasn't happened yet. Probably today

I know the Jets worked out Denario Alexander, nice addition if he's healthy and in shape. Gailey likes BIG WR's and Alexander is a legit 6' 5"/220 or thereabouts. The kid had a lot of talent, but tore a knee during draft preps, went undrafted, then tore it again in the pros (2013). Bad luck derailed his career, not a lack of ability. If he's healthy its a smart addition for stretch run, even if its only for depth.

Kid is definitely talented, but he has had 5 surgeries on his left knee, and 1 surgery on his right. Ouch

Wonder if he has anything left
