Don't understand your point. My statement was that you can't compare different eras, there's no way to predict all the variables on a player in different world's really.

With all due respect, that is a myth. The oline looked pretty good when Pat Ryan played QB. It also looked good with our running game. I think real problem was that O'Brien was a statue. He had no mobility and a slow release. There is a reason he never scored a rushing TD in his entire career.

I was going with your point of facing tough defences I was agreeing the game has changed and made things much easier for QB's and the offense..

I used to feel like this when I was...A KID!! Our society just accepts cheating as part of sports. Cheating is a character flaw and those that accept it are just as flawed. NFL is becoming the WWE!! I will always know the Pats cheated for every win they ever had as far as I'm concerned just like Lance Armstrong. Luckily I don't live in NY and have to listen to the Pats fans or hear about the Giants.

Really it makes the point for Namath, the first to throw for 4000 yards without a cast like Bradshaw or Montana had. But then it makes me think, will future generations look at foles year and think the same thing.
