The projected starters before the draft are the most likely to retain their starting roles heading towards the season... Bless Austin & Bryce Hall look to evolve their games further to be a dominate tandem in this new defensive scheme... Both are willing tacklers that love to hit, both have above average bump n run skills but are more known for the off man coverage which is what Ulbrich & Saleh are going to implement in their Cover 3 coverage...
The real question where does Javelin Guidry fall too? When he came in for Brian Poole he was making plays on the ball, doing the Peanut Tillman thing of punching the ball after wrapping up the ball carrier... They drafted Duke's Michael Carter II who basically played his entire career in the nickel and is said to be the front runner for the starting job, best believe Guidry will fight to keep himself in rotation on the defense and not be regulated only to special teams...
With the guaranteed dollars they gave Rookie Free Agent Isaiah Dunn from Oregon State, someone on the depth chart from last year is not going to make the cut to the active 53... Corey Ballentine could carve out a role as a kick returner but they drafted a few people that can steal that role and cost Ballentine a spot on the active roster... Another player on the fringe is Lamar Jackson no not the RB in Baltimore but he is clearly a project player at this point and will have a long road to even sniff out a spot on the active roster...
As it states now these are the corners that will likely be on the opening day active roster: (Expect to keep at least 6 or 7)
Bless Austin

Michael Carter II
Isaiah Dunn
Javelin Guidry
Justin Hardee
Brandin Echols
As of right now these are the players likely to be competing for the practice squad: (2 CB on PSqaud)
Jason Pinnock
Lamar Jackson
Corey Ballentine
