Not getting a deal done here is a huge mistake. I know Joe likes to be frugal but there's a time and place for everything, This makes Saleh out to be a liar when he said he wanted to make it so players get paid. What kind of message does this send to the fans ? Worse, what kind of message does this send to the players, present and future. Players won't want to stay. New players won't want to come here. Why ? They know they won't get paid. I've been a believer in Joe so far but I think he has screwed this situation up royally. Maye not only is an exceptional player he is also an exceptional locker room presence and leader.

What if they just don't value Maye the way fans might?? Don't pay someone just for the sake of spending money. He plays a position with minimal value and makes a minimal impact.
