Do we trade for a RB?

IF Breece is out for the year ( and I’m not saying he is by any stretch), do we pony up a mid rounder for say Kareem Hunt or Elijah Mitchell? There seems to be a debate on whether or not to give up a pick for possibly a 1/2 year rental on a back that could help us hit the playoffs. Personally I think Moore could be a piece in this equation. Perhaps Moore straight up for Hunt ( I think we actually lose that trade) , or perhaps Moore to the Bears for Montgomery and a later round pick). I think Elijah Mitchell would be a straight pick ( Niners need to recoup some picks ). Guess my question is do we go playoffs or bust this year? I fear without a running game, Zach’s gonna get exposed . Michael Carter is a nice back….. but he isn’t Hall, and without a viable running threat, it will be too much for Zach to carry the team. Thoughts?????

Breece is probably gone for the year and after watching Saleh, it looks like AVT injury is really bad also. He looked like someone died. This offense is going to be darn near unwatchable. Just sucks that in a blink of an eye this season with so much hope is lost or darn close to it.

I'd trade Bryce Hall and a swap of picks. He's been out of sight for a while.

Slow your role there TCT . There’s still some fight in this dog and believe it or not everything happens for a reason . With Hall at RB, we were not going to truly know what we have in Zach Wilson . Without Hall, Wilson had to be the focal point of this offense and to a greater extent this team .

Imagine what we can be with a competent QB and a healthy Hall behind an improved OL . With the experience of this season behind them .

Yes, we shall see what Zach is about now. If Breece is not done for the year then he will probably be done a few weeks at least. Just to make sure he’s as healthy as possible. Zach has the pressure more on him now. Let’s see if he can handle it.

Funny but Bam Knight was the first name that popped into my head when the coach mentioned that Hall might be done . We had a decent running game last season without Hall and we can again. We just needs Remmers to fill in for AVT as well as Max Mitchell was and we will be just fine .

Yes, we shall see what Zach is about now. If Breece is not done for the year then he will probably be done a few weeks at least. Just to make sure he’s as healthy as possible. Zach has the pressure more on him now. Let’s see if he can handle it.

I truly hope he can. I've never wanted to be more wrong in my life.

I agree 100%. They might trade Bryce Hall or even Mims for another OT or guard in my opinion. "Bam" will be on the roster for the next game.

If it was me I would let Bam and Ty Johnson do the battering ram work and use Carter as the third down back. I wouldn't trade for a RB but might pick up a FA to take Bam's place on the practice squad. If Corey Davis is out for the next game the 'problem' of Moore's targets will be solved.

Cedric Ogbuehi is starting at RT Sunday. Mike Remmers is depth at tackle.

As you said, Fant and Mitchell are getting closer to returning. I agree that we shouldn’t expect an o-lineman move.

As a matter of fact, I think JD rolls with what we’ve got. I don’t expect any major moves.
