You forgot Mekhi

I feel like AVT is going to be moved to LT. I’m not sold on Becton being a mainstay on this team. Too injury prone. Besides, Herbig and Tomlinson are the Guards for the next few years, so my guess is AVT at LT and Mitchell is the future at RT.

My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek, however when healthy he was very good. No denying that.

That is absolutely possible.

AVT-LT-McGovern-Herbig-Mitchell

I absolutely could live with that. Look to bring in a young developmental C and a couple depth pieces. Those are your five best linemen, and you don't have to give Fant big money.

What? Just the Browns and Pittsburgh games alone negate five decades of not getting breaks. Then, Bridgewater gets injured on the first play of the game. Russ and Rodgers forget how to play football. Fields separates his shoulder the week before our game.

And every NFL team has injuries to key players. That's just part of the gig.
They weren't breaks. Pittsburgh is one of the worst teams this year. They're only competitive at all because Tomlin is still their head coach. With Cleveland, we won in spite of the fact that Flacco was the QB because of a setback.

Bridgewater getting hurt is inconsequential. There's no way that he is worth 24 points more than his replacement.

Fields or no Fields, the Bears weren't putting up 31 points against us. Fields, along with his pedestrian completion % and high sack rate, is not worth 21 points more than his replacement.

We suffered more by having over a half dozen ol injuries and Breece Hall's season ender.

We didn't catch any breaks this season. But the team found a way forward.

The Jets were down to their, what, fifth and sixth best OTs at one point this season? Becton/Fant/Mitchell/Brown all hurt? I mean, come on. How many resources can one team be expected to put into two very important positions?

Butterscotch. Two loves of mine.

Hi, Butterscotch and SackExchange!

This looks like a good lead-in for a thread on game-day snacks. One of our faves is to saute up some chopped meat until there's no pink color remaining. Then, place some into tortilla chip scoops, followed by some salsa. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Pop into the oven or broiler until the cheese melts. Remove and serve.

Regards, and bon appetit! ["Hon, can you get me another brewskie, please?"]

Go, Gang Green!

All I know from one of the best Jets fans of all time is that there is nothing on game day quite like gabagool...er, capicola.

The Jets got some breaks, but other teams got some breaks against the Jets, too. At best, it evened out.

Exactly. Over the years (decades), we have gotten boned so many times. At least to me, it's amazing that were now getting some of the breaks that teams like the Pats routinely enjoy. Maybe the stars are finally aligning? probably not. But I can dream.
