So......I am going to make this summation short and quick...
Offense - The problem is a lot to blamed on Fitz and a lil of the scheme. I am not sure what the progression on the reads are and I am not sure if Fitz has the ability to decide that on the line of scrimmage but it was evident WR were open on plays were Fitz either threw it away or forced a throw and of course threw an INT an astounding 75+% of those throw.... Made me sick to my stomach.. Now and a few of those there was pressure so maybe that number needs to mitigate a lil bit.... Scheme was kind of awful, most Run and screen plays are 100% telegraphed but the Offensive alignment and personnel. Not using a TE in the pass game is a problem not only because when we do bring in a TE we know let the D know immeadiatlely its a run play or some type of short pass in the Flat at the LOS of a screen... Box is getting stacked. I think with a truly competent QB this offense is fine even with Gaileys lack of TE use to help disguise the run game better..
Defense - Playing a 4-3 defense and using Sheldon at ILB and OLB... AWFUL..... Everything about this team is built for 3-4... Skrines needs to stay in the slot.. he's not an outside cb... Pryor needs to be at the Line and Gilchrist needs to stay in CF..... With that said.... Yesterday we played a 3-4 and in the 2nd half... It was Skrines in the slot Williams on the outside with Revis... Pryor at the LOS and Gilchrist in CF..... SO how mnay yards did we give up in the 2nd half... 30? Oh and Richardson was back at 3-4 DE and him and Williams were dominant up front.... Also the pressure was great by the front 7 yesterday we may have only got 1 sack but they forced both INt's and other bad throws by Flacco... So hopefully lesson learned with the D moving forward.
The offense will not click unless we get some serious competency playing at the QB position
